Press Release - August 13 2007 - New Version of VigilVoyage to be released

The latest version of the VigilVoyage video route training system is due to be released in September this year. VigilVoyage is an interactive route learning system designed to increase the quality and efficiency of traditional bus operator route training. The main new feature of VigilVoyage is the ability to use the Tablet PC to record routes and automatically populate a route timeline with important “Hotspots”. This helps to make training faster and more efficient, with points of interest highlighted by “Hotspots”, to ensure trainees concentrate on significant parts of the route, such as unsafe conditions, speed zones and accident blackspots. Automated route timelines also mean that time spent on the authoring process is significantly reduced.

VigilVoyage can significantly reduce the time spent on route training, while still increasing bus operator confidence through effective route familiarization. Management is also given the ability to conduct route risk assessments and evaluate route inefficiencies or hazards.

VigilVoyage is based on the Microsoft .Net framework and utilizes the Windows XP Tablet PC Edition 2005 Platform.
